It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor. F-This is an anti-inflammatory medication (corticosteroid) used in the prevention of asthma. F-A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat pain, inflammation (swelling), and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis. In addition, the drug has antipyretic (fever lowering) properties. Prozac (fluoxetine) belongs to the group of antidepressants known as SSRIs (Selective serotonin-reuptake inhibitors) and is probably the most well known of all the anti-depressants. Don’t wait until its too late, buy Tamiflu now and be prepared for the flu season. Each Tamiflu pill contains 75mg of the active ingredient and is taken orally. Tamiflu is generally well tolerated yet 1 out of 10 people may experience mild to moderate vomiting. Other less common side effects include bronchitis, sleeplessness and vertigo. In the case of a mutated Avian Bird Flu. Armotraz ( Generic Arimidex ) is not a steroid. It is a tablet form anti-aromitase that is used by many body builders to help prevent bloating (edema) and Gynecomastia (bitch tit) associated with the use of testosterone and androgens. The FDA approved uses are for the treatment of breast cancer in post-menopausal women with disease progression following tamoxifen therapy. Hypersensitivity to anastrozole are reasons not to use this drug. Some less common symptoms are vaginal bleeding, weight gain, tiredness, chills, fever, breast pain, and itching. In case of an overdose, it is recommended to contact your poison control center. Anastrozole (Arimidex) is the aromatase inhibitor of choice. The drug is appropriately used when using substantial amounts of aromatizing steroids, or when one is prone to gynecomastia and using moderate amounts of such steroids. Arimidex does not have the side effects of aminoglutethimide (Cytadren) and can achieve a high degree of estrogen blockade, much moreso than Cytadren. It is possible to reduce estrogen too much with Arimidex, and for this reason blood tests, or less preferably salivary tests, should be taken after the first week of use to determine if the dosing is correct. As an aromatase inhibitor, Arimidex's mechanism of action -- blocking conversion of aromatizable steroids to estrogen -- is in contrast to the mechanism of action of anti-estrogens such as clomiphene (Clomid) or tamoxifen (Nolvadex), which block estrogen receptors in some tissues, and activate estrogen receptors in others. During a cycle, if using Arimidex, there is generally no need to use Clomid as well, but (as mentioned in the section on Clomid) there may still be benefits to doing so.With moderate doses of testosterone 0.5 mg/day is usually sufficient and in some cases may be too much. A gender reassignment program for male to female transsexuals normally includes the prescription of feminising hormones, oestrogen and progesterone which develop female secondary sexual characteristics. In addition this may be accompanied before surgery by anti-androgen treatment to reduce the effect of the patients own male sex hormones. There can be risks attached to hormone therapy in both men and women and therefore it is definitely inadvisable to take any form of hormone product unless it is medically prescribed. Estrogens are powerful steroid hormones, chemicals which affect the form and function of the body and its organs. There are three basic human estrogens: estradiol, estrone, and estrial. Estradiol is the most active form and estrial is the least active. In women, large amounts of estrogen are produced by the ovaries, and in men a small amount is present due to chemical conversion of testosterone Estradiol tablet (Etrace, Estrofem). Seretide / Advair. MDI or Diskus®(has a combination of Serevent® and Flovent® in one inhaler). Seretide™(Advair) contains Serevent™ (salmeterol xinafoate) and Flixotide™ (fluticasone propionate) in one MDI inhaler. Fluticasone propionate should not be confused with other steroids such as anabolic steroids misused by some athletes and taken as tablets or injection. When you take these two ingredients together regularly they will both help to control your breathing difficulties. Seretide (Advair) inhaler contains a suspension of salmeterol xinafoate and fluticasone propionate in CFC-free propellant, HFA 134a. The medicine is contained in a pressurised can, with a mouthpiece and an 'actuator'. Each time the actuator is pressed a dose of the medicine is released. Each can contains 120 doses of the medicine. Each dose contains 25 micrograms (mcg) salmeterol (as xinafoate) and 50, 125 or 250 mcg fluticasone propionate. How your medicine works -Salmeterol xinafoate is one of a group of medicines called bronchodilators. It relaxes the muscles in the walls of the small air passages in the lungs. This helps to open the airways and makes it easier for air to get in and out of the lungs. The effects of salmeterol xinafoate last for at least 12 hours. When it is taken regularly it helps the small air passages to remain open. Fluticasone propionate is one of a group of medicines called corticosteriods which are often referred to simply as steroids. Corticosteroids are used to treat breathing problems because they have an anti-inflammatory action. Corticosteroids also help to prevent attacks of asthma. What is Seretide (Advair) Inhaler used for?Your doctor has chosen this medicine to suit you and your condition. Seretide inhaler is used to help with breathing problems in people who need regular treatment. It is very important that you use your Seretide inhaler every day, as instructed by your doctor. If you get this sort of attack you must use a quick acting inhaler (eg. Ventolin) also known as a reliever puffer. If you feel you are getting breathless or wheezy more often than normal, or you are using your inhaler more than usual, you should go to your doctor. USES:Acarbose is used along with a proper diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes). Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent heart disease, strokes, kidney disease, blindness, circulation problems, and decreased sexual ability. Acarbose works by slowing the breakdown of starch (carbohydrates) from the food you eat into sugar, so that your blood sugar level does not rise as much after a meal. Acarbose may be used with other medications (e.g., insulin, metformin, sulfonylureas such as glipizide) to control diabetes because they work in different ways. HOW TO USE:Take this medication by mouth, usually 3 times a day at the start (with the first bites) of each main meal or as directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your medical condition, weight, and response to therapy. Your dose may be gradually increased to determine the most effective dose for you. The manufacturer recommends that you do not take more than 300 milligrams per day. Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day. For best results, continue to eat a proper diet, exercise regularly, and check your urine/blood sugar levels as directed by your doctor. GLUCOBAY SIDE EFFECTS:Diarrhea, gas, upset stomach, or stomach pain may occur in the first few weeks of treatment as your body adjusts to this medication but usually improve with time. Follow your prescribed diet to help lessen these side effects. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur: unusual tiredness, persistent nausea/vomiting, severe stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine. Acarbose does not cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). However, this effect can occur if you also take other anti-diabetic drugs (e.g., sulfonylureas, insulin) and if you do not consume enough calories from food or if you do unusually heavy exercise. Symptoms of low blood sugar include cold sweat, blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, shaking, fast heartbeat, headache, fainting, tingling of the hands/feet, and hunger. Do not use table sugar (also called cane sugar or sucrose) to relieve these symptoms because acarbose delays its breakdown. Carry glucose tablets or gel with you to treat low blood sugar. If you are in a situation where you don't have these reliable forms of glucose, eat some honey or drink a glass of orange juice (sources of another sugar, fructose) to quickly raise your blood sugar level. Tell your doctor about the reaction immediately. To help prevent low blood sugar, eat meals on a regular schedule, and do not skip meals. Check with your doctor or pharmacist to find out what you should do if you miss a meal. Symptoms of high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) include thirst, increased urination, confusion, drowsiness, flushing, rapid breathing, and fruity breath odor. If these symptoms occur, tell your doctor immediately. Your dosage may need to be increased or you may need other drugs. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor. Free Rx meds -Free Rx meds -Tamiflu (Roche) 75mg - the no. 1 doctor prescribed anti-viral for treatment of the flu!
