This medicine works by helping restore your body's proper response to the insulin you naturally produce, and by decreasing the amount of sugar that your liver makes and that your stomach/intestines absorb. They may keep this medicine from working properly. If this medicine has changed colour or tastes or looks different, has become outdated (old), or has been stored incorrectly (too warm or too damp area or place), do not use it . To do so may cause serious side effects. Throw away the medicine This medicine is an ACE inhibitor and thiazide diuretic combination used to treat high blood pressure. Accuretic may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Accuretic combines two types of blood pressure medication. The first, quinapril hydrochloride, is an ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitor. It works by preventing a chemical in your blood called angiotensin I from converting into a more potent form (angiotensin II) that increases salt and water retention in the body and causes the blood vessels to constrict---two actions that tend to increase blood pressure. To aid in clearing excess water from the body, Accuretic also contains hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic that promotes production of urine. Diuretics often wash too much potassium out of the body along with the water. However, the ACE inhibitor part of Accuretic tends to keep potassium in the body, thereby canceling this unwanted effect.

Accuretic is not used for the initial treatment of high blood pressure. It is saved for later use, when a single blood pressure medication is not sufficient for the job. In addition, some doctors are using Accuretic along with other drugs to treat congestive heart failure.

Most important fact about Accuretic

You must take Accuretic regularly for it to be effective. Since blood pressure declines gradually, it may be several weeks before you get the full benefit of Accuretic; and you must continue taking it even if you are feeling well. Accuretic does not cure high blood pressure; it merely keeps it under control. USES:Acarbose is used along with a proper diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes). Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent heart disease, strokes, kidney disease, blindness, circulation problems, and decreased sexual ability. Acarbose works by slowing the breakdown of starch (carbohydrates) from the food you eat into sugar, so that your blood sugar level does not rise as much after a meal. Acarbose may be used with other medications (e.g., insulin, metformin, sulfonylureas such as glipizide) to control diabetes because they work in different ways.

HOW TO USE:Take this medication by mouth, usually 3 times a day at the start (with the first bites) of each main meal or as directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your medical condition, weight, and response to therapy. Your dose may be gradually increased to determine the most effective dose for you. The manufacturer recommends that you do not take more than 300 milligrams per day. Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day. For best results, continue to eat a proper diet, exercise regularly, and check your urine/blood sugar levels as directed by your doctor.

GLUCOBAY SIDE EFFECTS:Diarrhea, gas, upset stomach, or stomach pain may occur in the first few weeks of treatment as your body adjusts to this medication but usually improve with time. Follow your prescribed diet to help lessen these side effects. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur: unusual tiredness, persistent nausea/vomiting, severe stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine. Acarbose does not cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). However, this effect can occur if you also take other anti-diabetic drugs (e.g., sulfonylureas, insulin) and if you do not consume enough calories from food or if you do unusually heavy exercise. Symptoms of low blood sugar include cold sweat, blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, shaking, fast heartbeat, headache, fainting, tingling of the hands/feet, and hunger. Do not use table sugar (also called cane sugar or sucrose) to relieve these symptoms because acarbose delays its breakdown. Carry glucose tablets or gel with you to treat low blood sugar. If you are in a situation where you don't have these reliable forms of glucose, eat some honey or drink a glass of orange juice (sources of another sugar, fructose) to quickly raise your blood sugar level. Tell your doctor about the reaction immediately. To help prevent low blood sugar, eat meals on a regular schedule, and do not skip meals. Check with your doctor or pharmacist to find out what you should do if you miss a meal. Symptoms of high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) include thirst, increased urination, confusion, drowsiness, flushing, rapid breathing, and fruity breath odor. If these symptoms occur, tell your doctor immediately. Your dosage may need to be increased or you may need other drugs. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor. These drugs dilate blood vessels and slow the heart to reduce blood pressure and the pain of angina. Most important fact about this drug - If you have high blood pressure, you must take Norvasc regularly for it to be effective. Since blood pressure declines gradually, it may be several weeks before you get the full benefit of Norvasc; and you must continue taking it even if you are feeling well. Norvasc does not cure high blood pressure; it merely keeps it under control.

How should you take this medication? Norvasc may be taken with or without food. A once-a-day medication, Norvasc may be used alone or in combination with other drugs for high blood pressure or angina.

You should take this medication exactly as prescribed, even if your symptoms have disappeared. You will begin to see a drop in your blood pressure 24 hours after you start the medication.

If you miss a dose - If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Never take 2 doses at the same time.

Storage Instructions - Store at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from light.

What side effects may occur? Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, tell your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Norvasc.

More common side effects may include:

dizziness, fatigue, flushing fluid retention and swelling, headache and palpitations (fluttery or throbbing heartbeat) Armotraz ( Generic Arimidex ) is not a steroid. It is a tablet form anti-aromitase that is used by many body builders to help prevent bloating (edema) and Gynecomastia (bitch tit) associated with the use of testosterone and androgens. It can be used in place of Nolvadex ,Clomid, etc. Bodybuilders are using around .25mg to 1mg per day or .5mg to 1mg every other day and are having good success with it. The FDA approved uses are for the treatment of breast cancer in post-menopausal women with disease progression following tamoxifen therapy. Hypersensitivity to anastrozole are reasons not to use this drug.

Some less common symptoms are vaginal bleeding, weight gain, tiredness, chills, fever, breast pain, and itching. In case of an overdose, it is recommended to contact your poison control center. Anastrozole (Arimidex) is the aromatase inhibitor of choice. The drug is appropriately used when using substantial amounts of aromatizing steroids, or when one is prone to gynecomastia and using moderate amounts of such steroids. Arimidex does not have the side effects of aminoglutethimide (Cytadren) and can achieve a high degree of estrogen blockade, much moreso than Cytadren. It is possible to reduce estrogen too much with Arimidex, and for this reason blood tests, or less preferably salivary tests, should be taken after the first week of use to determine if the dosing is correct. As an aromatase inhibitor, Arimidex's mechanism of action -- blocking conversion of aromatizable steroids to estrogen -- is in contrast to the mechanism of action of anti-estrogens such as clomiphene (Clomid) or tamoxifen (Nolvadex), which block estrogen receptors in some tissues, and activate estrogen receptors in others. During a cycle, if using Arimidex, there is generally no need to use Clomid as well, but (as mentioned in the section on Clomid) there may still be benefits to doing so.With moderate doses of testosterone 0.5 mg/day is usually sufficient and in some cases may be too much. Seretide / Advair. MDI or Diskus®(has a combination of Serevent® and Flovent® in one inhaler).

Seretide™(Advair) contains Serevent™ (salmeterol xinafoate) and Flixotide™ (fluticasone propionate) in one MDI inhaler.

Fluticasone propionate should not be confused with other steroids such as anabolic steroids misused by some athletes and taken as tablets or injection.

When you take these two ingredients together regularly they will both help to control your breathing difficulties.

Seretide (Advair) inhaler contains a suspension of salmeterol xinafoate and fluticasone propionate in CFC-free propellant, HFA 134a. The medicine is contained in a pressurised can, with a mouthpiece and an 'actuator'. Each time the actuator is pressed a dose of the medicine is released. Each can contains 120 doses of the medicine. Each dose contains 25 micrograms (mcg) salmeterol (as xinafoate) and 50, 125 or 250 mcg fluticasone propionate.

How your medicine works -Salmeterol xinafoate is one of a group of medicines called bronchodilators. It relaxes the muscles in the walls of the small air passages in the lungs. This helps to open the airways and makes it easier for air to get in and out of the lungs. The effects of salmeterol xinafoate last for at least 12 hours.

When it is taken regularly it helps the small air passages to remain open.

Fluticasone propionate is one of a group of medicines called corticosteriods which are often referred to simply as steroids. Corticosteroids are used to treat breathing problems because they have an anti-inflammatory action. Corticosteroids also help to prevent attacks of asthma.

What is Seretide (Advair) Inhaler used for?Your doctor has chosen this medicine to suit you and your condition. Seretide inhaler is used to help with breathing problems in people who need regular treatment.

It is very important that you use your Seretide inhaler every day, as instructed by your doctor. This will help you to keep free of symptoms throughout the day and night.

Seretide (Advair) inhaler should not be used to relieve a sudden attach of breathlessness or wheezing.

If you get this sort of attack you must use a quick acting inhaler (eg. Ventolin) also known as a reliever puffer.

If you feel you are getting breathless or wheezy more often than normal, or you are using your inhaler more than usual, you should go to your doctor. This medication is used to treat Parkinson's disease. It is used along with levodopa or levodopa/carbidopa to make it more effective.
